Busy as a bee
So the weather has been increasingly nice down here and I have been staying pretty busy. I have taken the kids swimming quite a few times already. I finally got Tanner some floaties and he can float around in the big pool now and he loves it. We had a barbecue with some old high school friends that we haven't really seen in years. Not to mention all the barbecues and get-togethers with the family members who find their way down here this time of year for one reason or another, we love seeing family anytime. I should be about burgered out by now, but the red meat is good for the anemia I recently found out I have. I am also on the enrichment committee and was involved in our annual b-day party. Now, here is a picture of my latest project (one of many that I want to do). My square foot garden! I am very limited on space but am going to attempt to grow some of my own vegetables. My wonderful husband built the box for me and I put the dirt mixture together. Now I just have to plant. I am going to try seeds this year, so everyone cross your fingers for me.
Knee Surgery: take two
Doesn't this feel like dejavu? (how do you even spell that?) It was almost exactly a year ago we were in this same situation. This time around things are going a lot better. This surgery was a little different than last time, and the recovery will not be as hard. I was just glad Anth finally took a couple days off work and got to stay home and be with us, even though it drove him nuts just having to lay around. (notice each kid had to get in a picture after I took Anth's. They are such cheese balls)

Anderson Girls 2009
Just a couple weeks after our trip to Hawaii, I headed off to Denver for our Anderson girls Sisters' Retreat. I always thought my mom and her sisters were a crazy, kooky bunch when they got together and I did not want to be within 100 miles of their insanity. I have now realized that my sisters and I are exactly the same! I know our husbands would go nutty if they were around us when we all get together. There is never a dull moment, or a quiet one! This time we went to the Time Out for Women conference. It was really fun but it took up most of our time. We got a little shopping in, and had a rushed lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. My two older sisters announced that they are pregnant, making that four pregnant women in my family and me being the only girl that is not. Grandma White came down and stayed with the kids here while Anth worked. What a big help. Thanks Carolyn. And thanks Andrea for the great hospitality. It was a quick, fun trip.
